Our Visit to Mission Estate Winery

During our trip to Hawke’s Bay, we enjoyed visiting Mission Estate, New Zealand’s oldest winery, founded in 1851. Set on a hill overlooking Napier, the winery is housed in a restored seminary building, offering a blend of historical charm and modern winemaking. We enjoyed a guided tour of the estate, learning about its long history and tasting some of its exquisite wines. The Mission Estate Restaurant is a must-visit for a leisurely lunch with stunning views over the vineyards.

  • Craggy Range: Known for its award-winning Syrah and breathtaking views of Te Mata Peak. The Craggy Range Restaurant offers fine dining, making it an ideal spot for a relaxing lunch.
